GamersFirst Works Hard To Fight For Gamers, Revamps Customer Support

I've been meaning to do a follow-up on GamersFirst, the subsidiary of K2 Networks who focuses on free-to-play games and the company responsible for reviving part of RTW with Reloaded Productions. The company is best known for running games like War Rock, Fallen Earth and APB: Reloaded. Well, I'm happy to report that the company has actually revamped their customer support and instead of giving gamers the cold shoulder they're now doing what they can to help out.

Earlier this year you may have remembered that GamersFirst came under fire for not being quite as consumer-first as they could have been. Eventually Gaming Blend got around to talking with the CEO and aimed to straighten out how G1 conducted business.

CEO Bjorn Book-Larsson was adamant that they were focused on providing gamers with a distinct and serviceable business, that both managed to maintain quality products and commendable customer support. Well, back in May Book-Larsson mentioned that they were aiming to overhaul customer support and recently I tried a stealth test to see if things had improved, given that GamersFirst originally received complaints from users about a lack of proper support for item and character restorations as well as lacking solutions for dealing with hacked or breached accounts.

Turns out that despite taking just over a week to get things acknowledged and resolved, the new support team handled my inquiry very well. Questions, concerns and resolution were dealt with both speedily and efficiently. And the company – even with a small team on-hand – really seems intent on living up to their name. That's about the most any gamer could ask for.

Now there's no guarantee that support will be 100% effective at all times, but if the CEO is intent on maintaining a structured and consumer-friendly company, it's more than I can say for some other companies out there. Plus, it doesn't take much for a company to end up on the front page of news with a lot of negative press other than an e-mail from a wronged consumer to their local media outlet.

With APB: Reloaded managing a top spot as one of the most played games on Steam, it's important that customer support stay on top of all the ins and outs that come along with a popular title where accounts can be stolen, items can be lost and hearts can be broken, a reliable team of support staff is invaluable.

Recently, GamersFirst launched the ARMAS publishing platform to help other small start-up developers get started with new online games and maintain support for their titles. You can learn more about GamersFirst and their products by paying a visit to the Official Website.
