Gears Of War: Judgment Pre-Order Bonuses Include Classic Hammerburst, Young Marcus

Gears of War: Judgment is now available for pre-order. Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb revealed today that placing an order for the game will earn you exclusive multiplayer characters and a weapon.

Pre-ordering Judgment at participating retailers will earn you the Classic Hammerburst for multiplayer. The Hammerburst is an assault rifle that fires accurate, six-round bursts. Unlike the Hammerburst seen in Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3, the "Classic" version doesn't have an iron sight. I personally preferred having the sight but I'm sure plenty of Gears vets feel the opposite.

Major Nelson says that additional pre-order details are still to come. Certain retailers will be offering multiplayer character skins. These skins include Young Marcus, Young Dom, Anya and Alex Brand.

Judgment is a prequel to the original Gears trilogy. It stars Damon Baird, Cole Train and two new squadmates. The campaign follows these soldiers in the aftermath of Emergence Day, a world-wide assault by the Locust.
