It seems Microsoft is about to re-release the first two Gears of War games. A listing on GameStop has outed a bundle called Gears of War Ultimate.

"We can confirm a forthcoming bundle SKU involving the Gears franchise, though this may not be the final SKU name," a Microsoft rep confirmed to IGN. "There are no specifics available at this time, except to say it will not involve Gears of War 3 or the beta."

Presumably the bundle includes the first and second Gears. Maybe they'll toss in some of the downloadable content for each, too? It would seem like a no-brainer to include a voucher for the GoW3 beta. However, Epic is putting the beta keys in the Ultimate Edition of Bulletstorm instead.

According to the GameStop listing (which has since been taken down), the Gears of War bundle will be released on February 15th, 2011. It's priced at $29.99. However, given the fact that the name's not even finalized, don't be surprised if that date and price change.

Update:A GameStop rep confirmed to CVG that the bundle will contain the first two games. No word on DLC or any other bonuses will be included as well.
