A week after announcing that they were shutting down, retro games service GOG has announced it's preparing a re-launch. Sweet publicity stunt, bro.

"First of all we would like to apologize everyone who felt deceived or harmed in any way by us closing down GOG.com without any warning and without giving access to your games," read an announcement on GOG. "We apologize for that from the bottom of our hearts!"

On Thursday, GOG will re-launch with a revamped interface, new features and "huge releases." In an online press conference (via Gamasutra), GOG.com co-founder Marcin Iwinski and managing director Guillaume Rambourg revealed that Baldur's Gate would be among the games added tomorrow. It will be bundled with expansion pack Tales of the Sword Coast and cost $9.99 to download.
