It’s easy to confuse the name Golden Age with Golden Axe but the two games couldn’t be further apart. Aeria Games’ Golden Age is a real-time strategy title for multiple players and the game has recently entered closed-beta for those looking to test out the browser-based strategy game.

Lan Hoang, Chief Executive Officer, Aeria Games commented in the press release, saying…

“Golden Age offers refined browser gameplay that pushes forward the web RTS genre with revolutionary upgrades in graphics, in-game systems, and player options,” … “The launch of our closed beta allows players to immerse themselves for the first time in a dynamic medieval RTS world enriched with roleplaying elements.”

It’s kind of ironic how the PC browser market is over-saturated with one too many RTS games while the console and core PC market is over-saturated with FPS games. It’s interesting because this gen really has moved very far away from the epicness, diversity and originality of the golden age of gaming.
