PlayStation Plus got injected with a healthy dose of “awesome” last month with the introduction of the Instant Game Collection. The Instant Game Collection features 12 downloadable titles that included the likes of inFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, and Just Cause 2. This month, that collection grows with a few games dropping out and three new games rotating in, including Gotham City Imposters, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, and Renegade Ops>.
PlayStation Digital Platform Community Manager Morgan Haro made the announcement through the PlayStation Blog, letting everyone know what kind of content they could look forward to through PlayStation Plus in July.
Gotham City Imposters is a lighthearted look at the world of Batman with goofy heroes and villains battling for dominance on maps spread across a cartoony Gotham. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX turns the series on its ear with high-energy, adrenaline-fueled twists on the classic gameplay. Finally, Renegade Ops is a four-player top-down twin stick shooter that puts players behind the wheel of some seriously destructive vehicles in order to take down an evil warlord. All three games will be available free to Plus members as soon as the store update goes live Tuesday.
The fun doesn't stop there, either. The PlayStation Store's Summer Sale kicks off tomorrow, too, with Plus subscribers netting 50 percent off on a bunch of great games, including Shadow of the Colossus, Killzone 3 Multiplayer and Crysis.
Also added to the savings lists for PlayStation Plus will be upcoming strategy RPG, Rainbow Moon. This one's set to drop on July 10 with Plusers getting 20 percent off.
Haro promises more info on further July Plus deals will be announced in a couple of weeks. While you wait, why not play some of those games we were just talking about?
