Rockstar Games revealed today that Beaterator and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, both in development for the PSP, will be released for the iPhone and iPod Touch as well.

"The simple, pick-up-and-play nature of Beaterator lends itself so well to the Apple platforms," said Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser. "We are happy to deliver an application that allows for such unprecedented sharing and ease-of-use."

Added Houser: "We are very excited to bring [Chinatown Wars'] incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple's new gaming platforms."

The PSP Beaterator release is slated for September 29th in North America and October 2nd in Europe. Chinatown Wars hits the PSP in North America on October 20th and October 23rd in Europe. The iPod Touch/iPhone launch date for both games is simply listed as "Fall" in the press release.
