Halo 4 Covenant Weapons Trailer Reintroduces Old Friends

The latest Halo 4 trailer from 343 Industries shows off the Covenant weaponry at player's disposal. It should all look familiar to veterans of the series.

Every weapon in the trailer was featured in a previous Halo game. They look a bit different but they're still the same old Needler, Plasma Pistol and so forth that you've been using for years. That makes the video a bit of a disappointment. Still, I defy you not to smile when you see someone get clobbered by the Gravity Hammer.

The Covenant don't appear to play a large role in Halo 4. The game is set on an artificial Forerunner world. Master Chief will be primarily fighting the Prometheans, the warrior-servants of the Forerunners. This new race will provide plenty of new weapons for players.
