The Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale kicks off today with a resounding bang, offering Halo games on the cheap alongside another 15 titles, all going for super-bargain bin prices.
Between now and March 4, the Ultimate Game Sale will offer a different batch of games to be snagged from of the Games on Demand collection. If I’m reading Major Nelson correctly, these prices are only good for a single day, with a whole new set of games and discounts being added each day. Think of it like the Steam Christmas Sale on your Xbox 360 and you’ve got the basic idea.
Kicking things off is a collection of four Halo games, including Halo 3, Halo: Reach and Halo Wars for $9.99 a pop and Halo 4 for $39.99.
If saving the universe or first-person shooters just aren’t your thing, then you’ll be happy to know that the rest of today’s sales span a wide variety of genres and gameplay experiences.
The following games can be yours today for just $2.99: El Shaddai, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, DMMM: Elements.
If you’re willing to fork over just a little extra cash, then the following titles can be added to your virtual library for just $4.99: DiRT 2, Grid, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., Rainbow Six Vegas, Kane and Lynch: DeadMen, Call of Juarez, Tomb Raider: Legend, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Virtua Fighter 5, BioShock, the Darkness, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2.
That’s a lot of quality games for very little money. Now might be a good time to stock up for the annual summer gaming drought.
