When Indiana Jones, the surly archeologist with a mean right hook, embarks on his journey to recover the Staff of Kings, he'll be assisted by a surly smuggler with a mean right hook: Han Solo. Whaaaa?

A new video on StarWars.com shows that Han Solo will be a playable character in Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, the upcoming DS, PS2, PSP and Wii game from LucasArts. Seems to be just a reskinning of Indiana Jones, as you'll still have the bullwhip and everything. I doubt they're going to actually try to shoehorn Mr. Solo into the storyline, though recent films in both franchises do make me consider the possibility.

Does this mean Harrison Ford's going to get twice as big of a check? We can only hope. Staff of Kings will be released on June 9th in North America and June 12th in Europe.
