Hedone Beta Announced, Mixes Brink With CrimeCraft

If you liked the destroyed, ultra-modernist art-style of Brink and the urban grunge feel of CrimeCraft then you just might enjoy Acony’s upcoming FPS, Hedone, which will be heading into closed beta testing on August 24th.

Marketing Director and Founding Partner André Herbst commented in the press release, saying…

"Our team has worked very hard to produce a top-quality game and we cannot wait to see what the public reaction to it will be"…"Player feedback is critical to making a successful game and we will be listening carefully to our beta community so that we can deliver the best possible product at launch."

Acony was also behind the fast-paced shooter, Parabellum. They definitely have a stamp of quality on their titles, maybe if they get their latest title a little more exposure than their previous games then they could see a wider expanse of success for the upcoming Hedone.

The concept for the game is a lot like a more, how should I say it…”realistic” version of Unreal Tournament, where a game show takes place pitting live humans against each other in deathmatch scenarios. However, using the latest in cloning technology, participants in the game show can be revived after recently being killed, allowing for, in some regards, a controlled deathmatch environment.

Players will create a character and take part in the live, kill-or-be-killed Hedone TV show, hence the name of the game, Hedone.
