Hell Yeah!: Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a frantic and colorful Metroidvania game that features the undead bunny prince of the underworld, a massive spinning blade of death to ride around on, and lots and lots of adorable baddies in need of a good killing. If any game deserves DLC, it’s Hell Yeah! And, thankfully, that’s exactly what we’re getting.
Sega’s various branches today announced that the first batch of DLC for Hell Yeah! will be made available for PlayStation 3 on Oct. 23 in the States, and the following day in Europe, for Xbox 360 and PC.
In the core game, you play as Ash, the undisputed prince of darkness and kicker of general assary. When pictures of Rabbit enjoying a hot bubble bath with his rubber ducky start making the rounds, the evil bunny will stop at nothing to kill anyone and everyone who has seen said pictures. In order to do that, he has to explore the very bowels of hell, which is conveniently divided into a series of labyrinthine mazes full of secrets to unlock, shiny objects to pick up and enemies to destroy.
The core game already features multiple masks for Ash to wear, as well as skins for his jet pack driller. The first bit of DLC, however, adds another 50 masks to the collection and 11 driller skins, all for $2.99 (240 MSP). According to the statement from Sega, characters from several of the publisher’s other franchises will be making an appearance of sorts in the form of these lovely masks.
The second bit of DLC is called the “Virtual Rabbit Missions.” It’s a pack of 50 challenge missions for shooting and speed-running fanatics, offering an additional three hours’ worth of gameplay for $4.99 (400 MSP).
Look for all of this content to be added to Hell Yeah! in just a couple of weeks.
