Is Hitman: Absolution The Title Of Hitman 5?

Agent 47's return might not be called Hitman 5. A new trademark filing by Square Enix Europe suggests that they'll give the game a slightly flashier title.

The trademark application, spotted by Siliconera, suggests that they'll be titling the next installment Hitman: Absolution. Absolution is the act of being forgiven for sins or obligations. Might seem like an odd title for a game that will almost certainly involve strangling people with garrote wire. Agent 47's always been sort of a "lesser of two evils" guy, though.

IO Interactive and Square Enix haven't said a word about the fifth Hitman game yet, aside from confirming it's in development. However, if Square's already shopping for a title than perhaps they're close to formally announcing the game.
