Hotline Miami Launches October 23rd, Creepy New Trailer Released

The creepy new top-down shooter Hotline Miami is scheduled to launch for PC and Mac on October 23rd. The game is like a thriller-themed version of GTA: Vice City where players take on the role of a creepy dude in a pig mask, slaughtering everything in his path.

To commemorate the solidification of the release date a new live-action teaser trailer was released for Hotline Miami and boy, I've got to tell you that it's one creepy S.O.B. Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital have really pushed the limit with Hotline Miami, fusing a sort of slasher-film vibe with a run-and-gun 1980s action exploitation motif. I'm kind of liking the art-style and animations for the game, though. There's a clear amount of detail put into the game's aesthetic, ensuring that even though it's top-down and sprite-based, you can still get a clear vibe that the game is retro and clearly referencing 1980s culture.
