When it comes to sandbox games, developers tend to overestimate the game length in an attempt to make the product look more impressive. However, the good folks at Sucker Punch Productions have provided a very realistic gameplay estimate for inFamous.

"It depends on how you decide to play it. If you play just straight through as fast as you can, maybe 15 hours," Sucker Punch honcho Chris Zimmerman told PlayStation.Blog. "But in addition to the 35 story missions in the game we have 100 side-missions, we have a whole bunch of collectibles you can pick up. If you do that stuff, somewhere in the 20s - 25 hour [range], maybe."

The game allows you to be either good or evil and Zimmerman adds that playing a second time through with a different moral bend will be a fresh experience. You can just ramp up the difficulty, too or go Trophy whoring.

Infamous will be released exclusively for the PS3 on May 26th in North America and May 29th in Europe.
