Indie RPG Bundle Offers 13 Games At Pay-What-You-Want Price
If you’re looking for a lot of great games at a cheap price, the influx of “bundles” in recent years typically has you covered. The Indie RPG Bundle is no different, offering 13 games for a low price, with extra goodies, and with a portion of proceeds going to support charity.
Bundle in a Box returns with its latest offering, the Indie RPG Bundle, a “most excellent assortment of 13 delightful, truly indie and impressively varied RPGs for the most reasonable price of ‘pay-what-you-want’,” according to a statement from organizers.
At this point, you probably know the drill, but we’ll go ahead and break it down again for you anyway. For starters, simply head on over to the promotion’s official website, take a gander at the offerings, sign up to pay whatever you think is reasonable and then download all of your games.
Currently, the Indie RPG Bundle has sold 359 collections with the minimum price set to $1.99. There are still nearly 14 days left in the promotion, so you’ve got some time to make your purchasing decision. All games are DRM-free downloads and most can be downloaded on Desura and/or Steam, too.
According to the Bundle in a Box crew, this latest bundle was orchestrated by Kyttaro Games as an effort to promote indie developers and their games.
“Gamers will get to enjoy a rich compilation of both successful and less known RPGs that have all made it through the painful, slightly sill, but always thorough Bundle in a Box selection process,” reads a statement from the team.
Breaking it down a bit further, the standard bundle actually comes with eight games. So long as you pay $1.99 or more, you’ll get Unemployment quest, The Siege of the Necromancer, Hack Slash Loot, Styrateg, Inaria, Dungeon Fray, Empires and Dungeons 2, and Frayed Knights: The Skulls of S’makh-Daon.
Beat the average price, however, and you’ll get five additional games, bringing the total up to that magic 13. Extra games include Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land, The Wizard from Tarnath Tor, Northmark: Hour of the Wolf, The Wizard’s Lair, and Telepath RPG: Servants of God.
As always, organizers are doing their best to sweeten the pot. For every 100 bundles sold, $15 will be added to the Bundle in a Box Indie Dev Grant, the sum of which will be given to a developer voted on by the participants. Similarly, five percent of the proceeds raised from the 14-day promotion will be shared with the Hellenic Centre for Mental Health and Treatment of Child and Family.
Finally, in case doing good for charity and indie devs wasn’t good enough for you, there’s also a collection of additional goodies. New extras will be added for every 1,000 bundles sold but, including the complete soundtrack of Droidscape: Basilica and Hack, Slash, Loot, a Frayed Knights strategy guide, artwork, additional music, etc.
