Inversion Co-op Trailer Ramps Up The Destruction Factor

Oftentimes when a game has co-op the thing that many promotional trailers focus on is teamwork. For Namco Bandai’s upcoming third-person shooter, Inversion, the new co-op trailer focuses entirely on the destructive nature of the two protagonists, showcasing all kinds of gravity-inspired destruction and weapons of sweet destruction.

What could best be described as Gears of War meets Red Faction: Armageddon meets Uncharted, Namco’s new IP doesn’t shy away from taking the workable elements from other games and using it as a foundation for their own game, which you’ll clearly see in the trailer below.



Cover mechanics from Gears of War? Check. Platforming and average-guy-trapped-in-a-bad-situation from Uncharted? Check. Plenty of things to blow up and manipulate with gravity guns like Red Faction? Double check.

The trailer definitely shows the game in a positive light that any press release would fail to deliver on. Let’s also not forget that this game will be arriving on the heels of Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3 so it really needs an extra flavor of something special to make it stand out.
