The PC has traditionally been the preferred platform for adventure games. It makes sense, then, that PC gamers will soon receive detective game L.A. Noire.

L.A. Noire is a crime thriller that takes place in 1940's Los Angeles. Players take on the role of Detective Cole Phelps, who climbs the ranks of the LAPD by solving a variety of cases. Players must examine crime scenes, interrogate witnesses and suspects, and take down criminals.

The PC version is said to have improved graphics and increased fidelity, in addition to 3D support. Rockstar says the game will still be able to run on a variety of machines, though. Keyboard remapping and gamepad functionality will allow players to customize controls to their liking.

Noire will hit the PC this fall. It's currently available on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
