Madden NFL 13, the latest installment in the long-running football simulation series, lets you experience all the action of an NFL game: the fierce hits, the goal-line stands, the desperate Hail Marys, the stealth kills. Wait, what?

The Best Buy listing for Madden NFL 13 mentioned that its features include "slow-motion chain kills," pick-pocketing and canoe riding. Someone at Best Buy accidentally copied and pasted part of Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation's description into the Madden listing, in other words. The error's been fixed but fortunately Kotaku took a picture of it before they did.



Generally retailer slip-ups are something to the effect of mentioning the wrong platform or release date. This is a very amusing break from the norm. I'm sure the juxtaposition of football and assassination has led to many people dusting off their old Ray Lewis stabbing jokes, too.

Madden NFL 13 will launch next week, sans canoe riding.
