Whenever the W.I.P initials are seen you can bet your bottom dollar that any sort of press assets are going to look half-baked and unpolished. However, the only thing half-done in the following “work in progress” trailer for Spiders’ upcoming action-RPG, Mars, is the lack of sound.

Earlier today you may have read about the announcement of the multiplatform title, Mars. If not, don’t worry about it, I’ll give you a brief rundown of the game: Players choose between two different characters fighting for the same cause. Breaking through the political clout, players might establish peace between the warring factions and level-up in the process.

The main focus in this game is supposedly the mix of aerial combat with standard-fare beat-e’m-up battle tactics. The video trailer actually shows off some of these moves for gamers to see. I can’t say that it looks completely and entirely original, but it does have promise and there’s still a year for the developers to wax some more polish onto this game.
