Mass Effect Anime Paragon Lost Gets A New Trailer

Later this year, Funanimation will release an anime film called Mass Effect: Paragon Lost that acts as a prequel to Mass Effect 3. Today they sent out a new trailer that almost succeeds in making Vega cool.

In Paragon Lost, Alliance Marine James Vega and his squad will face off against the Collectors. This mysterious alien race, previously seen in ME2, is kidnapping colonists for unknown reasons. Vega's team heads to a remote planet to stop these marauders.



Vega, voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. here and in ME3, was probably one of the weakest companion characters in the game series. There was nothing really memorable about the guy; he just felt like a miscellaneous trooper. Perhaps this film will be able to flesh out the character and make him interesting, though.
