Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Gamescom Trailer Is Full Of Cyborg Ninjas

Former girly-man Raiden really stands out in a crowd these days thanks to his cyborg suit and massive katana. He's not the only one rocking the cyber-ninja look, though, as the latest Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailer proves.

Revengeance is set a few years after MGS4. Raiden has been hired to help restore order in a country that just went through a civil war. Howevr, the country is soon plunged into chaos by the arrival of a mysterious army led by a small group of cyber-ninjas.

These ninjas command a very impressive force. In addition to normal foot soldiers, they also have a number of exotic cyborgs. Gorilla-like enemies were already revealed in previous screenshots. Today's trailer shows a panther-like robot with a chainsaw mounted on its back.

Revengeance is being developed by Platinum Games. They took over the project from Kojima Productions back in 2011. Platinum is best known for creating a game with a witch who kills people with her magic hair, so cyber-ninjas and robo-panthers seem par for the course for them.
