Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Heading To PC Soon
One of the most outlandish, over-the-top action games of the year is ready to slice and dice on the PC as Konami announces the impending release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for Windows PC.
A collaboration between Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, Revengeance combines some of the best qualities the two studios have become known for. A ridiculous story and street-rat insane characters a la the Metal Gear series and the lightning-fast action of Platinum games like Bayonetta.
Ditching the stealth and most of the gunplay the Metal Gear franchise has become known for, players take control of Raiden, a cybernetic ninja who knows his way around a katana. Raiden must travel all over the world to stop a global threat, dispatching enemy soldiers, cybernetically-enhanced baddies and insane bosses you won't soon forget.
You can expect some enhanced graphics with the PC version of the game, all running at a smooth 60 frames per second.
Unfortunately, noting outside of “soon” has been mentioned for a release date, nor has their been word on whether or not the PC version will come packed with (or even be getting) the game's DLC content including new playable characters, new stories and load of additional VR training missions.
With E3 just a few days away, maybe we'll have something more concrete to nail down next week when it comes to Metal Gear's latest trek onto the PC. If nothing else, at least we're basically guaranteed to get some details on the most recent upcoming game in the series, The Phantom Pain.
