Metal Gear Rising TGS Trailer Reveals Boss Fights

Like other Metal Gear games, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will pit players against a variety of colorful bosses. The latest trailer from Tokyo Game Show shows some of these bosses.

In Revengeance, an unknown country has been taken over by a PMC. This PMC is led by a group of cyborg warriors. These cyborgs look like they'll make up most of the bosses in the game. The trailer shows Raiden battling Samuel Rodrigues, a swordsman, on the back of a train. In another scene, a female with multiple arms named Mistral tries to impale him with a massive spear.

Raiden's main edge in these fights is his ability to enter Blade Mode. Similar to "bullet time" in Max Payne, Blade Mode lets Raiden slow down the action and then slash away at an enemy. In the fight with Mistral, he uses it to slice up the shaft of her weapon.

The game will of course culminate with a battle against a Metal Gear. You can get a peek at it at around 4:30 in the trailer. Only the bottom half is shown, though.
