Your prayers have finally been answered. After begging Capcom on your bleedy knees and scrapping your face along the ground hanging onto their heels, pleading for a North American port of more Monster Hunter games, Capcom has gone and done it...they've gone and announced that a special Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate edition will arrive for North Americans and Europeans beginning March, 2013 for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
As stated in the official press release... Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate utilizes the functionalities of Wii U and Nintendo 3DS to provide players with a truly intuitive hunting experience. The touch screen feature of both platforms allows players to quickly access in-game books, weapons, field maps and mini games while the high quality graphics of the Wii U and 3D visuals of the Nintendo 3DS powered by the latest iteration of Capcom’s MT Framework delivers a unique and stunning world for players to explore. I know we give Capcom a lot of grief for being trashy, bootlegg software pimps and for whoring their games out like careless pieces of digital meat, but every once in a while they upgrade from looking like a sleazy pimp to a matradee at a high-end escort service. Despite working their employees to the point of heart failure or treating them bad enough to prompt them to nearly commit suicide, Capcom has at least decided to give fans a noteworthy treat for Nintendo's 3DS and their newly priced and dated home entertainment console, the Wii U. The game is a complete overhaul from what was released on the Wii back in the spring of 2010, offering gamers more than 200 quests, new weapon upgrades, better visuals and more monsters than you can shake a giant, razor-sharp, two-handed bone-saw sword at. What's more is that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will support inter-connectivity between the 3DS and the Wii U, so you can share saves and data between both the portable and home console rendition of the game. Pretty exciting news for Nintendo fanboys, eh? The game is scheduled to launch next spring in March, 2013 exclusively for the Wii U and 3DS in North America and Europe. This could be huge for Nintendo in securing yet another victory this console generation considering that core gamers will be clamoring to their local retailers to pick up a copy of one of the most celebrated video game franchises out there.
