The headline is no lie; the two new trailers for Noob Saibot and Liu Kang are literally composed of combos that end with body breaking and head cracking results. In the case of Noob Saibot his torso shattering punch sends his victim into an incessant of torrent vomiting. Now that’s what I call a punch.

Netherrealm Studios and WB Games really seem to have gone back to the roots of Mortal Kombat 2 and focused more on the ridiculously gory nature of the game, which eventually became distilled with too many animalities, brutalities, morphalities and all these other ridiculous fighting entities that eventually made people stop caring for a while. It’s good to see that there’s enough brutality intact to keep hardcore gamers entertained while at the same time it doesn’t take itself too seriously to turn off people completely.
