Ignition Entertainment released a new video trailer for Muramasa: The Demon Blade featuring more dynamic gameplay and the artistic flair of this visually stunning game. And while it’s easy to pass the Wii off as a $199 shovelware dispenser, it’s games like Muramasa that remind us that the Wii was actually designed for gamers after all.

You won’t find 8-bit images plastered on flat polygons in Muramasa, you also won’t find a series of mindless, wrist-numbing mini-games filling up the disc. What you will find is a game that capitalizes on the untapped potential of the Nintendo Wii. The new gameplay trailer is a great reminder that the Wii is capable of housing enough power to run artistically challenging games while still playing host to the innovation of the Wii-mote.
