NBA 2K12's Roster Of Retired Greats Announced

2K Sports provided some additional information on the "NBA's Greatest" mode included in NBA 2K12. They've released the full list of 15 NBA legends that the mode will let you control.

All of the classic teams featured in the game will have period-specific arenas, uniforms, and broadcast presentation styles. The retired superstars will also have their signature moves, such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's skyhook. Isiah Thomas will no doubt have the ability to dismantle an NBA franchise.

The legends below can be played in historic match-ups through NBA history. By completing these scenarios, you'll unlock these players and their teams for use in matchups against modern NBA teams.

If you buy the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of the game on launch, you'll also get two additional historic teams: the 1990-91 Golden State Warriors (Run-T.M.C.!) and the 2001-02 Sacramento Kings (Bibby and company). This bonus will only be offered while supplies last. Presumably this content is unlocked with a one-time use code included with the game, so as to discourage buying a pre-owned copy.

NBA 2K12 will launch on October 4th for Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP, and PC.
