NBA Elite 11 Delayed, NBA Jam Still Coming This Fall

EA will not meet their goal of releasing NBA Elite 11 and NBA Jam simultaneously. They've decided to push back Elite's launch to an unknown date.

"The decision to delay NBA Elite was hard because the game has great promise," wrote EA Sports head Peter Moore in a new blog entry today. "But ultimately we feel this is the right thing to do. We’ve been making steady progress on basketball for the past few years and it’s going to take extra time to make the game."

To compensate for the delay, EA will be offering new content for NBA Live 10 throughout the upcoming NBA season. EA plans to release a roster update and daily Dynamic DNA updates. All of it will be free.

NBA Jam will be released on the Wii on October 5th as planned. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be released during the holidays. EA planned to include download codes for Jam with new copies of Elite, but now Jam will be a standalone product.
