Ninja Ranch Slices Up iDevices For Free

AppyNation has released a new puzzle game for iOS, inviting gamers to experience the wild world of farming through the ever-watchful eyes of a ninja. Ninjas were expert workers of the land, apparently, and with the release of Ninja Ranch, you can learn that fact for yourself on various iDevices.

With a name like Ninja Ranch, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think we had a feudal Japan version of FarmVille on our hands. But the folks over at AppyNation pulled a quick one on me, providing a gem-style matching puzzle game instead.

Instead of gems, however, players will be matching like animals to create order from chaos on the iPhone and iPod. There’s even a Retina-enabled version of the game available for the iPad HD. AppyNation describes their games as a “mash-up of Sudoku, Tetris and animal husbandry.” I describe that as sounding slightly gross sounding.

Ninja Ranch gives gamers a mix of humor, great production values, ninjas and livestock--not something you can say many apps can offer,” said AppyNation CEO Andy Payne. “The game offers…randomly generated puzzles and the ability for players to customize their ranch with quirky creatures and new backgrounds.”

If you have one of the above listed iDevices, you can snag your copy of Ninja Ranch free of charge. For a better idea of the gameplay, why not check out the handy little video embedded below? And for more info, head on over to the AppyNation website.
