PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has been delayed to November 20th, meaning fighting fans with a love for iconic mascots will need to wait just shy of an additional 30 days than expected before they’ll be able to get their hands on SuperBot Entertainment’s upcoming four-player brawler.
Battle-Royale is currently in the midst of an early closed beta with a public beta set for later this fall. According to a post from SuperBot President Chan Park on the PlayStation Blog, addressing feedback from the current community will be one of the primary focuses of the extra month of polish time. “Our goal is to deliver a fun, well-balanced, and compelling gameplay experience that pays homage to all of these incredible characters,” Park said. “We also know our fans have high expectations for this title, and to that end, we have decided to move the release date to November 20 for North America (including Canada) and Latin America territories.” Park goes on to say that this time will allow for additional tuning to be made to the game, getting PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale into tip-top fighting shape before its new release date. With the original release date set for Oct. 23, I’m thinking an extra month is easily forgivable if the time is being used to create a better product. I’m a firm believer that a game should not be released until it is ready and, if SuperBot needs an extra month to work out the kinks, I’m happy to give it to them. Park ended his post with a reminder that GamesCom is currently going on and, at some point this week, additional big announcements for PlayStation All-Stars will be made. Back to top
