PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Puts Fat Princess, Sly Cooper In The Spotlight

Before PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale hits store shelves on Oct. 23, or even before the public beta kicks off sometime this fall, the folks over at SuperBot Entertainment are preparing everyone for the impending throwdown with a series of tutorial videos for the six initial playable characters. Today’s lesson will be about the thieving raccoon, Sly Cooper, as well as the pleasantly plump royalty, Fat Princess.

Sly is a slick crook, capable of laying a beatdown while still proving agile enough to make himself a difficult target. Just like in his games, the clever criminal utilizes several gadgets to help him get by, including an exploding cap, a barrel full of dynamite and a level-three finisher that pulverizes anyone he takes a picture of. Rather than relying on a block button, Sly can actually turn invisible to get the upper hand.



And then there’s Fat Princess, the only lady available in the initial cast. While her own video game has FP sitting around, doing little more than eating cake, it turns out she would be just as useful on the battlefield. Fat Princess works best in close to mid-range confrontations with adorable and elegant attacks of her own, as well as the ability to summon some of her famous soldiers to do the dirty work for her.



Remember, everything we covered today will be on the exam, so you had better get to studying. No word yet on the betas official release date but, with an official disc launch only a couple of months away, chances are pretty good that it will be sooner rather than later. Plus subscribers will be getting in early, too, so you lot had better put in some extra cram sessions in the coming weeks.
