Project CARS Screenshots Continue To Impress
The community continues to do their job in place of a paid marketing group by releasing in-game photos of the upcoming realistic simulation racer from Slightly Mad Studios, Project CARS. The game is still set for release this fall for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and of course on PC, which is serving as the lead platform of development.
While a lot of studios out there are complaining about budget costs and ballooning expenses in game development, the real talent – the guys and gals who actually have a love for game design – are churning out some quality stuff in the game space, and in the case of Project CARS they managed to do so for only $5 million. Hands down it makes a lot of $60 million dollar games look like complete and utter crap by comparison.
The real highlight about Project CARS is how fruitful and inventive the actual gaming community has been in promoting the game. Instead of having a big budget marketing company handle PR for Project CARS, the actual game community who pre-ordered and are currently play-testing the alpha builds of the game are posting videos and screenshots up to promote the game.
The most notable promos for Project CARS have been the Radiohead trailer and the comparison between real-life and the game. That's some really impressive stuff.
