Project CARS Wet Is Beautiful Trailer

You know what the new hotness is? Wetness. Yes, being wet, soaking wet is all the rage. Slightly Mad Studios recently updated their near-photorealistic racer with advanced water simulation and precipitation effects. A new community-made trailer called “Wet is Beautiful” has been released to really drive home the point that beauty is liquid deep.

I love, love, love what Slightly Mad Studios is doing with Project CARS and I really hope this works as the future for what other developers will do when it comes to bringing a new IP to life, similar to what Notch is doing with 0x10c. I know it may not work so well with every project, but so far the inside look at the incremental steps of development for Project CARS has made me appreciate the design process that much more and respect Slightly Mad Studios for showcasing a very honest vision of what they have planned for the game. Project CARS is scheduled to launch in the first-half of 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U. No word yet if the Wii U version will be a similar port of the PC version or if it will be standardized to the PS3 and Xbox 360's outing, but it would be real cool if Wii U owners got to bask in some HD resolutions with all the latest in post-processing and high-end special effects.
