If you never picked up post-apocalyptic shooter RAGE this fall, you now have a chance to try it out for free. Publisher Bethesda announced today that they've released a demo through the North American PSN. It's expected to arrive in Europe tomorrow.

The demo gives you a taste of the single-player campaign. You can visit the town of Wellspring, talk to inhabitants, play parlor games with them, and join a few races. You can also venture into the wastelands to fight Ghost Clan bandits.

RAGE imagines a future Earth reduced to ruin by an asteroid impact. The player, who rode out the blast in an underground cryogenic pod, resurfaces to find civilization has been all but wiped out. They must contend with raiders, mutants, and worse. Learn more by reading our review.

Bethesda previously released the same demo through Xbox Live. No PC version has been announced.
