RaiderZ Open Beta Starts October 24th

In just a month's time gamers will be able to dive head first into Perfect World Entertainment's highly praised MMO hunting game, RaiderZ. Just like the name suggests, gamers will take on the role of a monster hunter who raids dungeons, breeding grounds and nests of terrible creatures. This delicious sounding free-to-play MMO is scheduled to open its doors to everyone beginning October 24th.

Senior producer Mark Hill had a few words to share about the game's open beta launch, saying...

"The positive reception from players and critics has been amazing so far,"..."With RaiderZ's action-focused combat, incredible boss fights, and gorgeous visuals, we expect the title to offer a breath of fresh air to fans of the MMO genre. We’re excited to be able to finally announce when all players can experience RaiderZ for themselves.”

The game's main hook is that it's like a free-to-play version of Monster Hunter Online, a game that Capcom refuses to bring to any territory outside of Japan. There have been a number of clones to try to capitalize on the premise and gameplay foundation of Monster Hunter but they just didn't quite kick off in the right way or lacked a lot of polish (i.e., Hunter Blade).

RaiderZ on the other hand, has been receiving a ton of praise for its concept and design as well as its gameplay, so maybe we finally have a winner in the party-based, monster hunting genre. RaiderZ has also been praised for its fair shake on character creation, a feature that usually draws a lot of ire from the critics of the MMO community for an unfair and sexist portrayal of female characters. So yeah, score one for feminism.
