Ravaged Now Available For PC

The large-scale, battlefield-style action shooter, Ravaged, is now available for PC. Reverb Publishing and 2Dawn Games sent out the news that the first-person, multiplayer shooter is available at every major and minor digital e-tailer starting today.

It seems like every time we talk about mid-budget indie games the genre description turns into a multi-syllabic minefield. This is actually a good thing, though, because it means that smaller developers are exploring the evolution of cross-genre game mechanics and advancing the evolution of interactive entertainment.

Ravaged is a game that combines traditional first-person shooting with large-scale vehicular combat. It's a lot like the original Halo but bigger, grittier, and badder. The post-apocalyptic landscape lends itself to the aesthetics and the gunplay is reminiscent of today's modern military shooters. You can see the game in action with the trailer below.

Brian Harvey, director of strategic partnerships with Reverb Publishing commented in the press release, saying...
“Ravaged is a post-doomsday shooter that sets itself apart from the competition with brutal kills, gorgeous graphics, a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, and a pace and flow that ensures matches are enjoyable bouts of controlled chaos,”... “It has the best assortment of features catering to the PC gaming audience that is continuing to show its support for the resurgence of first-person shooters on the platform.”

Ravaged looks good and it wasn't one of those games that needed a massive budget to hit completion. You can pick up a copy of the game right now from Steam, GamersGate or 2Dawn's Official Website for only $24.99. You can get the four-pack clan edition for $40, making it convenient to get your guild up and going.
