Reverb Publishing and 2 Dawn Games has announced that Ravaged, the post-apocalyptic shooter, will be arriving at digital distributors across the interwebs beginning October 17th. The game is also currently available for pre-order at participating e-tailers, including Steam, GOG, Origin, Gamersgate and Greenman Gaming.
There's a very generic outline of what you get in Ravaged, with the press release stating...
Ravaged is a 32-player, first-person online multiplayer shooter designed specifically for the PC. Created by the veteran team at 2 Dawn Games, an indie developer formed by team members who previously worked on Desert Combat, Battlefield 2, and Frontlines, Ravaged is aimed at delivering fast-paced on-foot and vehicle-based combat.
As I said, it's a very generic outline. However, the thing that makes Ravaged stand out is the intense combat combined with the explosive support of vehicles. Everything looks and feels integrated, as opposed to being tossed into the game as a contrived gimmick.
The vehicle handling is superb and the look and feel of a post-apocalyptic America is handled quite nicely by 2 Dawn. In some regards I kind of wish Borderlands had the sort of aesthetic density that Ravaged does, but maybe we'll get it in Borderlands 3.
Anyway, Ravaged has picked up some interest within the community as a competitive shooter worth keeping an eye on. It'll also be launching at a budget price so you'll actually be able to own the game unlike a lot of other F2P titles out there.
You can pre-order the game right now from your favorite digital distributor for $24.99 or visit the Official Website to learn more about the game.
