Before you go jettisoning off to some other website like IGN or Gamespot and thinking, “Hey, they’ve got the real release date,” just know that CDV recently sent out an e-mail confirming that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel have been reassigned new release dates. Why? I don’t know…such is the way of gaming journalism.

“Just a quick note to let you know that the release date for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 has been changed. The new retail release date is May 12, 2009. If you could update the entry in your database immediately, it would be appreciated.” Says CDV’s rep, Ted Brockwood.

So there you have it. There’s no need to go flying off to IGN, Gamespot or Kotaku and getting a second opinion. Unless, of course, you really do like them better than us.
