The biggest uphill climb that Southpeak has had to face with Section 8 is convincing people that it’s not Halo. Regardless of what is being said about the game in comparison to Halo or Crysis (though those aren't bad comparison by a long shot) the new launch trailer truly kicks major butt.

The launch trailer for Section 8 is a mix of cinematic sequences and actual gameplay. Pretty much everything you see the squad carry out in the trailer can be done in the actual game (including using the jet pack and flying up on a ridge to snipe off pesky rocket jockeys.)

Section 8 will feature a full-on campaign mode with progressive storytelling and a unique look at the universe in which the game takes place. TimeGate Studios also fleshed out a comprehensive multiplayer component that mirror’s the likes of Battlefield or Battlefront, with players having the option of customizing their loadout and playing with moderate class-based effects.
