If you're a fan of Hong Kong action flicks and hard-boiled bad-action movies, then you'll love Sleeping Dogs...theoretically. See, the game focuses on all the highlights of what makes a good bad-action movie, good. And the new gunplay trailer for Sleeping Dogs shows off the many facets of gun management for fans of top-tier cinematic action.
Sleeping Dogs is nearing release. In fact the game is about three weeks off from release and gamers can pre-order the open-world action title right now or keep getting fed new promo content and assets leading up to the game's release in an attempt to goad gamers into wanting to put money down for United Front Games AAA title. I have to say, though, whether the final game will be good or not is entirely unforeseen but these are some pretty good trailers and the actual gameplay actually looks very solid. That one playthrough of Mrs. Chu's Revenge was an honest take on the seamless transition from fighting to guns to vehicle combat and it looked really good. I was very impressed. But I don't want to sound like a fanboy, so I'm going to also point out a few of the things I'm not particularly fond of: The fighting looks a little choppy when it comes to the animations. It feels like there's a framerate cap in place and the moves are no where near as fluid as they could be. Still, the game looks good for what it is and that's what counts. You can look for Sleeping Dogs to launch for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC come August 14th. Want to pre-order? Learn more? Watch more videos? Feel free to head on over to the game's Official Website.
