XSeed Game’s spiritual successor to the well-regarded PSX RPG, Tail Concerto, is now currently available for the Nintendo DS at retailers nationwide. Solatorobo: The Red is a unique, story-driven RPG with mecha-based customization and a vibrant art-style.

Literally translated as “Sky and Robot” from Japanese, Solatorobo: Red the Hunter takes place high in the clouds of the Shepherd Republic, a sea of floating islands in the sky inhabited by two races resembling bipedal dogs and cats. In their everyday lives, these creatures have come to use Robos, or mounted robot mechs, for all varieties of tasks.

Players will assume the role of Red Savarian, a furry dog-like creature who is an adventurer and thrill seeker. When Red comes across a mystical medallion that unleashes a massive creature that begins attacking his home, it’s time to go kill-mode and put the monster back in the box.

Sporting 10 different cities to explore, plenty of characters to interact with, mini-games to master and side-quests to complete, Solatorobo: The Red aims to be good mobile RPG to have with you while you’re on the go. The game is currently available for the Nintendo DS for $34.99 and is rated ‘E’ for Everyone.
