Soul Sacrifice Offered Up Next SpringAuthor: Ryan Winslett

Soul Sacrifice looks to bring a darker take on the Monster Hunter-esque formula to the PlayStation Vita in the spring of next year. That means you’re only like half a year away from making your character rip out their eyeball and turning it, via magic, into a monstrous morning star with which to smite your foes.
Okay, so, I made that particular move up, but it’s likely pretty close to the mark considering the types of things we’ve seen come out of Soul Sacrifice so far, like a dude using his own spine to tear another due limb from limb. Dark magic win! Sony made the semi-helpful launch announcement during its Tokyo Game Show presentation this morning, saying that the extra development time will be used to implement feedback gathered during the TGS event. Keep in mind that this is the Japanese release window, so we might not be seeing Soul Sacrifice in the States until even later in the year. For a look at what we’re missing out on, check out this latest trailer… A demo is also planned to be released at some point, so at least we’ll be able to sample the gory goodness sometime in the next, say, six months? Still, this is a game I’m very excited about and, if the developers want to take some extra time to hammer out any wrinkles, presumably with a hammer transmorphed out of their spleen, then I say they should take all the time they need to nail it.
