Sam Fisher may be younger and Michael Ironside may have stepped away from the franchise as voicing the iconic master of stealth, but it doesn't mean that Sam Fisher and the Splinter Cell series is done bringing you high-end espionage action. The latest screenshots for Splinter Cell: Blacklist takes Sam to the desert as he brings the fight to the enemy.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the sequel to Splinter Cell: Conviction after a reconstructed Third Echelon brings back Sam after he goes rogue following the events of Splinter Cell: Double Agent, which nearly pushed the aged espionage hero over the limit. I'm not sure how Sam knocked off 20 years of age following the events of Conviction but do we really question that sort of stuff when it comes to action heroes? They can defy age, wrinkles and husky voices...just look at Sylvester Stallone and all the plastic surgery and steroids...er, I mean age-defying hard work he put into staying youthful. Anyways, the screenshots below are typical action-espionage, with Sam doing what he does best as well as showing off some rock-climbing skills. It's good to know that in the world of video games chronological age-logic can be defied with a different model file, a few retouches to the textures and a younger voice actor. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set for release next March for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. You can check out the new screenshots below or visit the Official Website to learn more about the game.
