Mezmer Games announced today that real-time strategy game Stalin vs. Martians will be 60% cheaper this weekend. There's apparently a good historical reason for the discount, too.

SvM's $7.99 price tag on Saturday and Sunday is a celebration of Victory Day, a Russian holiday celebrating the end of World War II. The game is ordinarily $20. The press release doesn't mention specific digital distribution services so presumably this discount will go into effect on every service the game is offered through.

Stalin vs. Martians depicts a war between the USSR and extraterrestrial invaders. It was released worldwide on April 29th and is a digital-only title.
