Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.4 Video Reveals Terror From Beyond

BioWare is preparing to release Game Update 1.4 for their MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. This patch will add a new Operation dubbed "Terror from Beyond."

The new Operation takes place on the Gree Planet of Asation. An ancient piece of technology known as a "Hypergate" has activated and horrible monsters have begun to pour through it. Players must travel to Asation, close the portal, and kill whatever evil forces have spilled through it.

Operations are the Old Republic equivalent of raids. Groups of 8 to 16 players journey into these instanced encounters to face encounters requiring strategy and coordination. There are three difficulty levels to master, each with progressively better rewards.

Old Republic hasn't added a new Operation since Explosive Conflict back in April. I'm curious how many "hardcore" raiders are still playing the game. That side of the game seems like it's been neglected somewhat. Layoffs to the development team haven't helped.

Update 1.4 is currently live on the public test server. BioWare hasn't announced when the patch will be implemented on normal servers.
