Haden Blackman, the executive producer and writer for the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series, has left LucasArts. His resignation ends a 13-year stint with the company.

Blackman contributed to several Star Wars games. He worked on the MMO Star Wars: Galaxies and real-time strategy game Force Commander, among others. Just last week, he was showing off Force Unleashed II at Comic Con.

"I've had a fantastic time working with the team at Lucasfilm and am really grateful for their ongoing support," Blackman told IGN. "While the decision to leave LucasArts did not happen overnight or come easily, I really feel that now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career."

IGN also reached out to LucasArts, who stated that Blackman's departure would not affect Force Unleashed II's development. I'm not sure what else a spokesperson would tell the press in this situation, though. "Oh god, H-Black has left the building! We're fucked! Fucked!"?
