StarForge Stretch Goal Introduces Liquids And Lava

So StarForge is one of the many awesome new indie games coming out for PC. It recently hit its initial IndieGoGo crowd-funding goal and the team has managed to secure enough funding to hit one of the stretch goals. Which stretch goal did they meet? The liquids and lava goal, of course.
For those who don't know, StarForge is a procedurally generated game world that takes on the voxel box crafting mechanic of Minecraft and fuses it with sci-fi space adventure and combat from titles like Halo and Starship Troopers. You can craft your own crazy weapons, your own base, your own defenses and a heck of a lot more.

Now how will this whole liquid/lava system work? Well, according to CodeHatch's William Sworin, the liquids can travel, can disrupt and can work as a form of interaction as well, very similar to the likes of Terreria or...Minecraft.
Sworin states in an update post that...
We have many plans for this, including the possibility of water pumps and weapons that spray water. Flooding out tunnels and so much more. We plan to start developing the back-end systems to make voxel water possible sometime next year and will notify everyone when we start.
I'd love to see how this all comes together and it's easily one of the most ambitious games in production at the moment.
