Capcom has officially announced the release date for the upcoming cross-branded fighting game, Street Fighter X Tekken. In addition to the release date new details have also been revealed for the Gem system and how players can customize their fighter with the Gems. In addition to this, game producer Ono-San confirmed that a PSV and PC version is also in the works with more details to be revealed at a later date.

Basically, the Gem system sees players being able to acquire a number of different Gems that can be combined to create different effects on a fighter. There will be a total of 36 different game-changing Gems to select from, which drastically alter each fighter’s abilities and stats.

There are also a number of pre-order incentives available as well, which you can check out below if you decide you want some super awesome goodies that won’t be included in the regular version.

Gamers can look for Street Fighter X Tekken to land on store shelves for the Xbox 360 and PS3 starting March 6th in North America and March 9th in Europe. The game sports a bevy selection of fan-favorite fighters from both the Tekken universe as well as the Street Fighter roster.
