Some of the retro games added to Wii's Virtual Console service can be admittedly obscure. However, soon Nintendo plans to bring back three games you've definitely heard of.

Gamespot reports that Super Mario Kart, the SNES game that spawned the popular racing series, will arrive on Virtual Console on Monday. It'll cost $8 (800 Wii Points) when it arrives. Note that Monday is when North America gets Virtual Console updates. If Europe ends up receiving Kart next week, it would happen on Friday.

SNES flight sim Pilotwings and N64 party brawler Super Smash Bros. are also said to be on the way to VC this holiday season. The exact price and release date for each hasn't been disclosed.
